Put the eyelet through the hole. 3. Put them back on the base (with the eyelet's back side up), put the pointy punch on the back side of the eyelet, hold the punch vertical and use a rubber hammer to hit the flat top of the punch to split the back part of eyelet gradually, so it will be fixed on the leather or fabric. 4. Adjust the back side of the eyelet with the hammer or pliers to make it look better if needed.
